AuriLux - connected ear cleaner

It's a wireless ear cleaning device with a built-in HD camera that streams live footage to your phone via Wi-Fi. Yes and that's the whole point. Traditional cotton buds push around 70% of wax deeper into the canal (every ENT will tell you this). Because you can see what you're doing on your phone, there's no blind poking. That said, please use it gently, don't force it, and stop if you feel any discomfort.

Fair question. ENTs warn against any tool used carelessly, including cotton buds (which they hate the most). Often, yes. That muffled, plugged-up feeling is usually caused by impacted earwax pressing against the eardrum and that's exactly what this device is designed to remove. That said, ear fullness can also come from a cold, allergies, sinus issues, or Eustachian tube dysfunction. If clearing the wax doesn't fix it within a few days, see your GP.

Sometimes. The NHS lists earwax build-up as one of the common triggers for tinnitus, and many users tell us the ringing softens or disappears once they clear the blockage. But tinnitus has lots of other causes noise damage, stress, medication so this isn't a guaranteed cure. If your tinnitus is persistent or distressing, please book in with a GP or audiologist.

Itchy ears are often caused by dry skin, trapped water, or you guessed it wax build-up irritating the canal. Removing the wax with our cleaner usually brings instant relief. If the itching keeps coming back after cleaning, it could be eczema, an allergy, or a mild infection, so a quick GP check is a good idea.

It works best on soft to medium-firm wax. If your wax is rock-hard (common in older adults or people who haven't cleaned their ears in years), we recommend softening it first: 2–3 drops of olive or almond oil in the ear, lying on your side for 5 minutes, repeated for 2–3 days. This is also what the NHS recommends. Then the cleaner will lift the wax out easily.

For most people, once every 2 to 4 weeks is plenty. Ears are self-cleaning by design, so daily use can actually irritate the canal and strip the protective wax. If you wear hearing aids, earplugs, or in-ear headphones a lot, you might need it more often.

Most issues are sorted in 30 seconds: 1) Make sure the device is fully charged and switched on. 2) In your phone's Wi-Fi settings, "forget" any old [Brand] network and reconnect to the new one. 3) On iOS, give the app permission to use the Local Network (Settings → [Brand] app → Local Network). If you're still stuck, message us we reply within 24h.

A full 60-minute charge gives you roughly 90–120 minutes of continuous use, which is enough for several weeks of regular cleaning. Charging is via USB-C and takes about an hour.

The silicone tips are reusable and washable; simply rinse them with warm water and a drop of soap, then let them air dry. 4 to 6 replacement tips are included in the box, and replacement packs are available on our website for £5.
